Universitas Djuanda Bogor held a Studium Generale with Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through visiting professors. This activity aims to improve the quality and productivity of Human Resources in the Palm Oil Industry sector between Indonesia and Malaysia. The organizing committee as well as Vice Rector I, Rita Rahmawati, said that this event was a return visit made by UNIDA previously and it was hoped that there would be a follow-up program that could be implemented in the form of cooperation, and in this activity discussed various aspects including discussing the development, empowerment, processing, and economic improvement opportunities of the Palm Oil Industry sector. There are several points that are the focus of discussion of problems such as handling palm oil waste and developing the economic side. In addition, this activity is divided into two sessions, for the first session in the morning and in the form of a Forum Group Discussion intended for lecturers because it discusses research related to palm oil so that it discusses related issues, for the second session in the form of a Studium Generale attended by students and all UNIDA personnel. There are further activities that we will design in the MoU for future activities, namely in the fields of Students Interaction, Teaching Staff Interaction, Academic and cultural exchange, Educational and academic information / material exchange, collaborative research and joint academic meetings, Entrepreneurship and copyright product development, joint academic publications, and the last is a joint conference. These points will be elaborated by three speakers from the Malaysian Center for Communication, Union and Social Studies. Prof. madya Dr. Novel Ak Lydon said "the development of the palm oil industry is still constrained by technical waste management, as well as the impact of land activation. From an economic point of view, it is very supportive, but we must also think about the negative impact on the environment from the development of the palm oil industry," he said. Currently, Indonesia and Malaysia are allied countries that have the potential to produce the largest palm oil industry in Southeast Asia. Therefore, we must make improvements and improve the quality of palm oil industry waste management. UNIDA Rector Dede Kardaya said, it is possible that in the future his party can make a push in the academic field of science for the management of the palm oil industry. Studies can be carried out by means of observation and research, especially now that UNIDA itself occupies the 49th position of all universities in Indonesia News Source: https://www.unida.ac.id/informasi/universitas-djuanda-unida-kedatangan-profesor-universitas-kebangsaan-malaysia/
